The journeys here have been chosen for the quality of the route more than anything else, taking in landscapes from the Cambrian mountains and the Welsh coast to the sea wall at Dawlish and the Vale of York. All run on the national mainline at mainline speed, hauled by restored steam or diesel locomotives, with a proper window through which to take it all in.
